A person needs a time and place to relax, cool their jets, and generally take a load off. In collaboration with individuals of the community, Deltion brings you a night for just that: “Breathing Room”, on April 26th, at the The Sanctuary Performing Arts Center in Natick, MA.
Our past events, Rooted, Cool Roots, and prior, featured an array of different types of performance art. This time around, we are trying out something different: The acts will almost exclusively be bands. This will give a number of local music groups a chance to be showcased at our shows like never before, as well as create an atmosphere favorable to mingling and interaction.
A goal is that this environment will better stimulate networking amongst grassroots creatives and local culture enthusiasts. We are not abandoning the eclectic format of the past, just experimenting with something new.
he name “Breathing Room” has a dual meaning. Our lives can be claustrophobic, sometimes space must to be made for us to breathe properly. But the second interpretation of the name pertains to the art side of the event.
Art is born on the tips of tongues and pencils. As it lives, it breathes. One way of looking at art, is that it breathes through human engagement. We sustain art through our interaction, our thoughts, our beliefs, and our hands. In this way, on the night of April 26th, at 13 Common Street, Natick, MA, the room itself will breathe. “Breathing Room”
